The Créteil hydrogen station, built next to the Valo'Marne energy-from-waste plant, was inaugurated on September 23, 2025 and entered service in October 2025. FillnDrive delivered its Ellipse product there, with a private payment system based on UHF RFID (long-range reading).
The station
- Hydrogen is produced by water electrolysis, using energy from the recovery of local waste.
- 1 tonne per day at commissioning, with capacity of up to 2 tonnes per day depending on demand.
- First customers: buses and waste-collection trucks from the local area.
What FillnDrive supplied
- The Ellipse payment terminal.
- Long-range UHF RFID reading.
- RFID badges issued to drivers and vehicles.
- The private payment system, managed by the station operator.
Why UHF RFID
Buses and trucks refuel on a regular basis. With long-range reading, the vehicle is identified as it arrives at the dispenser, with no card to present. Each badge is tied to a driver or a vehicle, so consumption can be tracked. The operator manages access directly: a badge can be added, blocked or reassigned at any time.
Ellipse also accepts bank cards, NFC badges and the mobile app, for stations that serve both private fleets and occasional customers.
